I'm so weary of telling you how much I enjoyed this because I want you to have realistic expectations of it. But I will say that although it's hard to believe you can be stuck on someone for ten years after only knowing them for 24 hours, Carley really sold it. I BELIEVED it. I hope you love it.

This. BOOK! Babalola just DELIVERS - from her short stories (Love in Color) to this novel, she understands what women want; tenderness, yearning, and a hella badass protagonist. This book really illustrates the double-sided coin of strength and vulnerability. You'll hopefully love the charactres as much as I do.
cw: sexual harassment, misogyny, sexual assault

This book chewed me up and spit me out. Emily does not miss. The way she writes characters! The way she builds tension! The way I want to cry at the wholesomeness! For foxy 20-somethings and/or their moms and aunts (or dads!) Happy reading!

Take a deep breath before reading. And several during. A rare find of equally smutty AND quality plot-driven story. For fans of Fleabag; not necessarily for fans of the church. Enjoy!!
cw: tread carefully if you have religious trauma

Do not pick this up if you're looking for light and giddy goodness. As it says on the back, it's a romantic thriller - you really feel the slow burn. I love me some morally questionable characters (aka humans) and slightly toxic sexual tension. You'll fly through and likely not know how to feel!! (Me too.) Also plz looks up trigger warnings! Happy reading!

Okay - yes, Brene is very hyped. But have you read anything by her?! I swear, she is the most honest, non-preachy and proudly imperfect person to learn from. She would likely reject the concept of anyone putting her on a pedestal, but I'm going to anyway. She is a goddess. Read her work!! You will (hopefully) find all the messy parts of life much easier to deal with.

TRULY one of the most touching, refreshingly honest novels I've read in years. I was not expecting it to live up to the hype, yet somehow it surpassed my expectations. For fans of A Star is Born (but make it bisexual), this novel demands to be devoured.

Hannah is such a talented storyteller, and a total zillenial icon. The best way I can describe it is that you just KNOW she grew up watching High School Musical on repeat (I mean this in the best way). This book is kinda romantic, kinda historical fiction, and quite comical. It gave me lots of serotonin.

If you liked Stepford Wives, you MUST buy this book. Very similar to the suburban-type thrillers of Liane Moriarty. It was jaded and yet light in all the right ways, told only by someone who could know the day-to-day stresses of being a working mother and wife. Happy reading!

Jordyn and I have obsessed incessantly about this romance novel. Please read it so we can all flip out about it. It's also a movie. Go watch it!!

This is one of my favorite books in the history of literature. I'd recommend it to educators, people who like kids, or even young adults themselves. It changed my life and my view of young people. I hope you LOVE it.

Such a fun, fast, and utterly captivating read! I love the feminist retelling of this old tale; I fell in love with Enola from the preface! Such a creative author who takes you back through time to the 19th century!

You've probably heard great things about this already, and I think if you've picked up the book & are reading this you must not set it back down. Perhaps one of the most powerful things I've ever read.

This book helped pull me out of a difficult place with food, exercise, and my body. Whether you've gone through tough moments with body image (which all of us have,) I know you'll enjoy her humor and humility.

If you need a book to catapult you back into reading, this is the one. It always excites me to meet other TOG fans, because people either don't know about it or are utterly obsessed with it. The story of a female assassin - need I say more?

This is the kind of book you think about when you have actual adulting to do. Pair the marital tension of Gone Girl with the slow burn suspense of Dark Places. You'll be rooting for AND against the protagonists. Have fun!

I absolutely adore this book. For the nature lovers and people who are curious about the complex- yet somehow obvious and simplistic- relationships between human behavior and the patterns that surround us. It helped me heal from wounds I didn't know I had.

I'm having trouble deciding what to write about this novel, partly because I don't want to be melodramatic and partly because I don't want to give anything away. Yet, it really did do absured things to my heart. I think most women will be able to empathize with and understand the lifelong impact of domestic violence in the protagonist's life. It's heavy, but in the best way. Look up trigger warnings before reading!

Short stories are not usually my jam. And I will say, the first one in here is arguably the worst. However, Babalola truly blew me up and away with this collection. How she makes readers develop such strong attachments to the characters, I'm not sure. Read in order or flip randomly. I promise, your heart will not know what to do when you finish.
OKAY. You may think I'm dramatic for saying this, but my heart HURT reading this because I was not taking deep, full breaths. Don't judge me- I'm a Scorpio Moon. This was one of the best books I've read in the past few years. Friends to lovers, a 20/5 stars. Happy reading!
Everything about this YA fantasy series is gold. The magic system, the badass underdog protagonist, and don't even get me started on the slow burn romance. Best enemies-to-lovers I've ever read. There will be characters you hate, ones you root for at all costs, and ones you just can't decide how you feel about. Enjoy the emotional confusion- it's so fun!!

Are you seeking therapy for $18.95? You're welcome in advamce. This book is LOVE- I have no better way to put it. Sonya's vision of the world is a stunning one: that we all inherently have and are radical self-love, coatd in layers of socialized self-doubt. Her work is a practice in getting to know (and love) ourselves without judgement. Once we do that, we can transform the world!! (Cheesy, but I'm right.)

It's ridiculous what this series has done to me. Sabaa's books feel a bit heavier than other popular fantasy titles I typically lean toward- which surprisingly has made it one of my all-time favorite series. You will never understand how much I love these characters until you read it yourself! Prepare to feel lots of things and prepare sweat a little (in a fun way, obviously.)
