The Haunting of Alejandra is a horrifying and moving story that is as much about monsters, trauma, and mental health as it is about family, empowerment, and healing. In this profoundly feminist novel, Alejandra faces the entity not only with her own strength, but that of all the women who came before her.

Nightbitch is honest, funny and absolutely bonkers! The story uses magical realism and otherworldly transformation to bring to light all the brutal parts of motherhood. This bizarre story is so worth the read, for its unique tale and the way special care was given to reveal the mother’s unseen struggles.

The best sapphic, fantasy, noir-style, mystery, thriller you’ll ever read! Despite it being a novella the characters, plot, and especially the world building are expertly fleshed out. I was instantly transported to it’s dark, brooding, magic-filled Chicago streets and I was hooked from the very first second. It really speaks to the amazing skill of C.L. Polk as a storyteller.

A witty and funny, yet deeply poetic story. The main character is a crow, so this story is great for animal lovers. But beware of their foul mouth!

This book is the perfect combo of reality TV and cryptids! It's a queer horror that's both fun and terrifying! It follows the cast and crew of a reality dating show, who decide to film on an isolated island and something lurks in the woods. It's a wild ride and the best kind of strange.

This is such a fun, queer, gothic novel! The characters drive the story and they feel so concrete as you follow the, through all the strange and spooky happenings in the novel. This book is a love letter to story telling in its many different forms. Reading this was such a cool expereince!
