A debut YA novel book set in the first year of college for best friends since childhood, Easton and Ellis. It tells the story in a dual timeline of what broke them apart and if it's possible to ever come back together. Kristin writes in an achingly poignant way that breaks your heart because it feels real. These emotions we remember from our first heartbreaks.

Another book I devoured in a matter of days! It's a fun, upbeat read about young people trying to figure out who they are/want to be! They make so much growth, and of course, their chemistry is off the charts!

Belladonna is a dreamy combination of fantasy meets murder mystery with paranormal and gothic elements. Full of atmospheric writing, a dark love interest who might be a demon himself, and a murder mystery surrounding a family the main character wnats to protect at all costs. Belladonna is a perfect read for anyone obesessed with an alternate Victorian era England, romance, and a little bit of poison.

An immersive, gripping, heartbreaking fantasy that will suck you in. This book follows Rin as she tests into a prestigious military academy that whisks her away from poverty and into so much more than she bargained for. Be warned - this book gets very heavy at the end. Please look up content warnings before venturing forth.

A beautiful, fun book where the protagonists are still trying to find themselves and what matters most to themselves. I love that it's set in college, as it's so rare to find books like that in a romance! I also love that it's partially autobiographical with how the authors met, which is just so darn cute!

Romina's prose was action packed and moved quickly from one scene to the next. I felt so much for all of the characters- each of them flawed, but the ones who love them accept them without hesitation. I loved th fighting against gender roles, the LGBTQIA+ representation, and a diverse folklore we all could use more of.

Every person, especially teachers and students in middle school, should read this book. It highlights how differently people learn, and how to treat people who are different from us. It also shows how important perseverance is and how much your life can change if one person cares enough to see you - the real you. I definitely teared up many times throughout this book!

This is book one of a series I absolutely consumed despite working a full-time job! The author puts her soul into her characters - you can connect to them as a human experience. Her pacing, worldbuilding, and descriptions are so vivid!

A rich fantasy set in an alternate 1700's France. Roshani Chokshi is a masterful worldbuilder and storyteller. Her characters are deep and nuanced and it was for sure a contender for favorite 2020 book!
